Weekend Wrap Up + MANICure Monday

Monday, April 8, 2013

I have to admit when it’s cold I get a lil crabby and hibernate FOR REAL! I hate being cold I tried to get Chunks out during the weekend and we did but now that NY is finally feeling like Spring Chunks and I are OUT! and thankfully NY is the city you can always find something to get into.

Saturday morning we got up and did the Saturday morning routine, nothing too special cartoons, laundry, fake clean up then we hit the streets. The car show was wrapping up it’s final weekend at the Jacob Javits and being the mother of a car fanatic I had to take him. We met up with my dad and brother since it started as our tradition and let them all do what boys do.

Of course when dealing with the auto show you expect to be there for  few hours and we spent almost ALL day there. While I’m there just to sit in my Range Rover (naming it and claiming it) and the Acuras, the fellas loved the sports and concept cars.

Sunday Funday took us to CitiPark in Queens to watch the Mets v Marlins game. It would be another 1st for Chunks and me, since we’ve never been to a major league game before. We met up with some other bloggers the #MetsMoms game day (more on this in another post) and got a tour of the famous Jackie Robinson Rotunda and finally got a picture with the iconic 42 in the main lobby and the hall of fame museum.

The day started out really pretty but got kind of breezy as the game went on but Chunks hung in there like a champ and had a pretty good time. It was all a bit much because my man was KNOCKED out by the 8th inning lol.

I got home and decided to treat myself to some fresh paint and of course I’m linking up with Mimi and Lynn. I tried to get a little fancy with the designs and get pics before Chunks woke up so excuse the lil mess :). Anyway, I went with Sally Hansen’s Insta-Dry (which is becoming a fave just because it really dries quickly) in Spring Mint and did the highlight nail in OPI’s Alpine Snow and played around with Essie’s Cute as a Button and some Kiss Glitter for the design and just a dot of Revlon’s Electric.

And so went the weekend! Hope you all are getting out there enjoying Spring, I know this is when I come to life!
